New Car, Multiple Problems - 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo

Hi, I just got a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo w/ 84,000mi. I'm having a few issues, just wondering what I can do about them and how much they would cost: 1. Check Engine - Took the car to AutoZone, it needs an O2 Sensor. 2. Loose Instrument Cluster - The 2 clips that hold the instrument cluster to the dash ...

Took it to a local shop cuz i started leaking coolant. They changed the timing belt, water pump, and belt tensioner. I also had them look at the rough idling. Turns out that i had some vaccum hoses within the manifold that were cracked and broken, as well as some old O-Rings,so they replaced all tha...

I think that's what i'll do then. Replace the Throttle Position Sensor, and clean the throttle body itself; and just take a look at the lower engine mount - is this easy to change? I've seen the tutorial on Bay 13, but i'd like some opinions from people who have actually done it. BTW, thanks so much...

Same here.

I get around the low 30s too, and the transmission (when in cruise control) will downshift on a grade, then will not upshift back again untill well after passing the climax of the hill.

i changed the Distributor cap and rotor and then the rougher idle began. I then changed the (needed) wires to some generic brand trying to maybe solve that problem. The spark plugs only have about 4500 miles on them, so i dougbt that they would cause any problems even if Platinums aren't so good.

Nah, its in decent condition. I'm just concerned that maybe i had somehow put the distributor rotor on wrong. It got noticibly worse after i changed that. The wires are in the right order - i'm sure of it because i followed the firing order (1-2-4-5-3). Could it be the Fuel Injectors?

Rough Idle; I have done full tune up, and it got worse

Hi, I have a 1994 Volvo 850 Non-Turbo w/ 163000 miles. The car has had a relatively good idle ever since my father gave me the car a 1.5 years ago except when i put my foot on the brake at a stoplight while in Drive; where it would cycle between a good idle, and a rough one. It also began bucking wh...

Allright, thats fine for you guys. But the fact of the matter is: i'm uncomfortable in my car, and unless I can alter the seating arrangement somehow, i'm selling the car and buying german. I really like the volvo and don't want to change it, but if i have to, i will; so pleeeze help me out. Thanks,...

no, i'm normal size, i took the seat out and was studying the seat mechanism, apparently there is a ball bearing inside the track that is supposed to hit the stop, when i go forward, it stops an inch short.
