Re: Doubled Fuel Consumption

Plus that much unburnt fuel will toast the CAT converter before long.

Re: P80 Delta Link Tool (Used) $90 shipped

When I did the delta link replacement, my local alignment shop said the car went from "impossible to attain spec alignment since rear too bad to be able to get front dialed in" to "perfect factory spec alignment," so the repair is worth doing.

$90 shipped, less for local pickup.

Talk to me when you hit 350K. You'll still want to keep her if your left knee can deal with the clutch.

Re: Doubled Fuel Consumption

I have had a bad engine coolant temperature sensor on P80s and it causes all kinds of hurt along the lines you've stated.

When were the O2 sensors last replaced?

Re: Manufacturers defect? Topic is solved

Question is unclear. Should coolant come out of the reservoir, or should it have come out of the thermostat housing. Not clear whether you are replacing the coolant reservoir or the engine coolant temperature sensor from your post.

Re: 2002 s60 Interior restoration (Leather seats and door panel)

I have bolted in better seats (by far the easiest option); swapped seat covers from a junkyard donor -- not a bad option (but significantly more time consuming than a drop in replacement); and purchased new Ellwood Industries leather seat covers and fit those (by far the most expensive option) and t...

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 stops idling at 97 def F

Congrats Matt, that's super low mileage for a '98. Be aware, we've had some burned exhaust valves on the P80s written up here. Tips, ease off throttle and downshift on prolonged hill climbs and I'd run premium gas to keep combustion temperature down to prolong engine life.

Re: 2009 xc90 3.2 awd Better gas mileage in the summer but not in the winter WHY?

Gas for the winter is formulated differently than summer blend to reduce air pollution. That difference accounts for the discrepancy in summer/winter mileage & performance. This is well-understood and you can probably find a decent amount written about it. From what I understand, it has to do with R...

I'm with jreed on that one. Bad ECT can cause all sorts of hurt. Mine have usually showed up as hard starting, however.
