Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
Honestly didn't have a chance to check, had to strip out the last of the parts off the 98. It's going to the bone yard today. I'll check and get back to you.

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
Read 13.6 on the battery, still a no start. Question, the currently install Cam Position sensor came out of a 98 S 70 Turbo, is it compatible with my 94 850 Turbo?

It was low from all the attempted starting. Put it on charge last night and gave up for the night.

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
Other research mentioned the cam position sensor and crank shaft position sensor. I swapped these out from my parts car and still no start. As a test we did a spark test, now getting no spark. The ignition system is pretty new. Is there a sensor that may have went bad causing no spark?

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
Sorry for the delayed response, finally got to the car to work on it. Got to the car, hot wired the relay socket, car started up and ran for five minutes. Swapped out fuel pumps, car started and ran for the usual five minutes then died. Ran a voltage check at the relay socket, got 10.5 volts, oddly ...

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
Thanks Mike, that's good information. I guess the worst case scenario is that I pull the pump out of my parts car.

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
I'll check all of these this weekend when I'm at the garage. It would be nice if it was the pump, got a working one in the 98 that I'm striping.

Re: 94 850 Turbo keeps blowing fuel pump relays
The fuel pump shuts down as the relay disconnects.

Re: The I Worked on My Car Today Thread
Not so much today but the last two weekends. Transferred the front suspension, control arms and flex brake line from the 98 S 70 to 94 T 5, Last weekend transferred E brake cable and installed new pads. Also had to manufacture and install passenger side rocker panel.
