Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
Thanks for your feedback on the heating/cooling system operation, Steve. I have noticed that the engine/motor does have to heat up a bit before the blower motor turns on. I removed the intake manifold and found NO oil leaking from any of the hoses attached to the PCV breather or around the breather ...

Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
I forgot to ask...is there a preferred method of removing the camshaft seal? without marring the inner surface of the camshaft cover where the seal is located? And without removing the camshaft cover? I'm having a tough time getting it to even move in or out.

Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
I think Neil is right, there does seem to be some accumulation of oil below the breather - I will have to investigate further. I did remove the belt tensioner assembly and the pulley makes a lot of noise. Is there a trick to removing the torx bolt/screw that the pulley is held on by? I made a few at...

Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
So, I've removed the belt from the sprockets, and removed the intake sprocket, and alas...there is no oil leaking from the camshaft seal! Am wondering again, if there is a seal (or seam?) on the bottom of the power steering pump that may be cracked, could that be where the black oil is coming from? ...

Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
Getting ready to replace the cam seal, but...I have to remove the sprocket and belt in order to reach the seal!! OMG! I'm not looking forward to this repair job with any enthusiasm! On the sprocket bolts are there torque values I need to be aware of? Or just tighten the bolts so they line up with my...

Re: Power steering pump leak - o-ring?
I've narrowed down the sound - it appears to be coming from the front camshaft - I suspect a seal, maybe, that could be emitting the black oil like substance that is beginning to cover the back side of the alternator. Thoughts? Still not sure where the smoke is coming from, but definitely coming up ...
