Re: Demand for Thule?
I have official Volvo bars for my XC which are Thule, of course. So with that said, I think it would be great if you guys carried Thule gear as long as you also carried the various spare parts. For example, I find that I occasionally lose the bar end caps so in past I have bought a bag of 4 which la...

Re: 2003 XC70 steering rack concern
I just replaced the lower steering shaft on my '02 XC which has 375K kms on it and it took out all the play I had in the steering. Our roads here are probably worse than you have there in NC Ohio (I lived in Granville and worked in Mansfield for Sprint 20 years ago) but a few good hits on potholes w...

Re: 2004 V70 NA - Wheel Alignment question
No. In the front, there is enough slop in the stock mounting bolts to get close to a degree of adjustment. Basically you snug up one of the bolts, make the adjustment, snug up the second, re-check, and tighten every thing up. If that doesn't it, then you can use camber bolts which have a machined ad...

Re: 2004 V70 NA - Trip Odometer issue
Happened on my '02 as part of the failure of the DIM. Once it started it took close to 2 years before the DIM failed totally. So be ready.

Re: swapped DIMs and still no go, need input!
Normally a DIM swap with a fully compatible junkyard DIM should be straight-forward. Simple plug-and-play. The only thing that should be required is a SRS clear. Did you try that on this one? When I did mine I just did a wholesale CEL clear after jotting down what codes there were (years worth of st...

Better yet, pull the fuse to the siren module and see what happens.

Re: DIM Replacement With Used
Keep in mind that with the number of bad DIMs out there, it is possible that the used DIM is also bad. I ran into such a case up here when a local garage asked if I could help get a used DIM working. In this case, all the numbers matched but the DIM would not come up. We attempted to clear the codes...

Re: can someone give an over view of the Vida Dice?
You are stating that if the newly acquired DIM is high then I"m stuck with that value as it will over right my existing CEM? That was my experience when I replaced my DIM and I have yet to find anything in VIDA/DiCE that allows you to change it. Keep in mind there are other devices that can do...

Re: Power to DIM
No, there is no magic or relay involved. If you have a properly matched DIM (i.e. right, matching numbers), it will come right up as it should. Since the one you have works half the time, take those numbers and get a matching and fully working used one. Nothing wrong with the numbers, its the DIM th...

Re: Vida Dice?
DiCE is nothing more than the interface between VIDA and the car. Without it, VIDA cannot talk to the car. In turn, DiCE is useless without the information and programming contained in VIDA.
