Replace AC Comp bearing while attached?
I'm pretty certain my AC compressor bearing is bad, as the whine only occurs while the clutch is engaged. Without a wholesale changing the compressor, can the bearing be pulled while connected by moving the compressor around with enough wiggle room? I did read another thread here about it but no res...

Total Loss: any hope of transferring these options from one car to the next?
My 2008 was totaled last week. I am extremely disappointed by this (not the totaling, I think it's the only logical option), as I searched for a year for this particular model: Collision Avoidance, DVD, Nav, heated rear seats, Dynaudio, PCC key fob, BLIS, etc. It was apparently a dealer driven car, ...

Re: 2007-2011 S80/V70/XC70: blower motor replacement
Thanks, I see those, however I do not see where the resistor is on those diagrams, nor how to remove it.
does it come from the instrument panel access, or the underside of the left footwell?

Re: Blower Motor Relay - how to access this under the fuse box??
There is a lower level. The front of box slides up, the + terminal nut has to be unscrewed. There are tabs around perimeter of the top layer you push away from the edges they clip over, and then lift the top up. Disconnect battery before doing all of this. Thanks, I did try exactly this, but there ...

Blower Motor Relay - how to access this under the fuse box??
Can anyone tell me how the fuse box lifts up and whether or not the relay is something that just pulls straight out ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Stick with P2 or move up to P3... opinions?
I thought the oil burners were the more recent 2011+ models, as they used a friction coating on those engines not present in the earlier versions?
Around here, I am seeing 200k+ miles on the 3.2 (mostly early versions)

Stick with P2 or move up to P3... opinions?
The real reason is to get a P3 with the collision avoidance, but I do wonder about the 3.2 engines (don't think I am going for a T6, trying to reduce maintenance across the fleet). I am looking at the earlier versions, 2008 to 2011 for cost reasons. Seems that there are already many high mileage exa...
