I have a 1996 850R that was behaving that way and changed the plugs and it fixed the problem.

Other years may work also so let me know what you have!

I have same 1996 850 R and get P0300 and P 1310 codes after high revs under load. Car runs fine most the time at high revs but occasionally cuts out when I really step on it. Well I cleared the codes and put in some injector cleaner and car seems to run fine and no codes were thrown after 30 miles of mixed driving. I should qualify this statement that I did not go above RPM's of 4K and the misfires and codes were thrown around 5K RPM. Having said that I now think that ...
