I just bought my first Volvo and I love it! However, when I shut off my car, I hear a sound for a few minutes kind of like a jet airplane engine. Is it the normal sound of the fan or a fan ready to die? I am assuming it is the fan...am I correct?

I tried to replace my brake rotors during my last brake pad relacement. I removed the calliper assembly and moved it clear of the rotor and then removed the 10mm retaining bolt. I then beat on the rotor (from the back of the rotor) with a rubber mallet many times but the rotor would not break free ...
