Thank much for advice - I did notice several splash shield bolts missing which may have given the squirrels easier access. new bolts on order, but odd they fell out in such a short time. 1998 S70 Auto trans. Son can't get ignition key out of stearing column. Says only thing he's done differently is push down the ovedrive button but says button didn't depress all the way. Machining needed for head gasket change ?? 1998 s70
Low compression in 2 cylinders and have to replace head gasket (Likely head gasket failure according to mech). Does head automatically need to be machined, or do I just have the machining done only if out of tolerance? Mech claims need to automatically machine head as part of gasket change.

Questions: How is the car running? If you have 2 cylinders not firing it should run like crap. What are the actual compression test results by cylinder. It should be around 180 - 190 on a good cylinder. If it's under 125 or so then you'll need to look into it. If it's zero in one or more cylinders,...
