I didnt remove the cluster the mechanic did. I am sure he installed everything ok

Hello, I have a 1990 740 Turbo with 122k on it. Now everything on the cluster doesnt work expect for the boost gage. Yet 3 days ago, the rpm/gas/battery gage worked and now its just the boost gage. I installed a new cluster and nothing. The mechainc checked the relays/fuses and he said it was all ok...

I have a 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo and I need to know two things: My Speedometer doesnt work but everything else on the dashboard does so I think I need a new cable. Is this a mechanical Speedometer or Electrical? Also where do I install it behind the dashboard or do I have to pull the transmission?

Did you check your fuel pump fuse?

Thanks for the answers. I couldnt get the car scanned the guy had to have plates back. But today the anti lock brake light didnt come on, the only light on is the bulb light and check engine. I am going to try to scan the codes from myself that I found on another Volvo site.

The car cost $500. Other than those things it needs nothing the owner tells me. Has very little rust underneath the car. Boost works fine when he drove it pretty hard this evening. He has a new car and he needs to get rid of it he tells me. It had a tuneup 2-3months back.
