Re: V70 - Manual Key Won't lock/unlock doors

I don't think anything has been swapped. I've had the car for 8 years and it definitely used to work... probably within the last year or so the manual locking has worked with the key. But now it doesn't.

V70 - Manual Key Won't lock/unlock doors

I just noticed this today. My 2007 V70 I cannot lock or unlock the doors with the valet key or the key blade on the FOB. The buttons on the FOB work fine and can lock or unlock the doors with no issue. But physically putting the key in the drivers side slot and turning does nothing. No current light...

Re: Volvo 850 moaning noise under 10mph

I did have an alignment done fairly quickly after doing the work. Is it a clue that the noise gets worse after I've been driving 10-20 minutes? To test if its the tire should I just switch the front tires?

Re: Volvo 850 moaning noise under 10mph

I checked that it didn't seem to be making contact with the rotor. But it does seem to be a rubbing noise.

Volvo 850 moaning noise under 10mph

My 850 has in the last few days started exhibiting a low moaning noise that feels like it's coming from the left wheel area. The noise only happens after 10 mph and seems to get worse as the car gets warm. When I first get out of the driveway I don't hear anything but by the time I've been on the fr...

Re: AC Clutch Zip Tie Problem

Thanks. Putting it up on ramps helped a lot... just shows being lazy can actually compound your work. I also used a smaller utility screwdriver like Robert uses in his videos and I was able to make short work of this. Hopefully these last longer than the bread clips did.

AC Clutch Zip Tie Problem

I have a pretty dumb question I hesitate to ask. I have the AC clutch gap problem on my 1996 850 Turbo. I have read about using zip ties and bread clips to fix the gap but I really have a hard time wedging into my compressor like I see done on all the guides and pictures. Can someone tell me how you...

1996 850 Turbo Stalled on the Freeway this Morning

Last Friday out of nowhere my 850 stalled when I tried to accelerate from a red light. After it stalled it took a couple tries but then it fired up again and got me home. However, the last week it's been driving weak, like there is a delay between putting my foot on the gas and acceleration. Now thi...

Re: 1999 V70 Aux / Bluetooth input ideas?

IPD also sells an adapter called GROM. I used it in my wife's 2007 V70 and it works great.

Re: 1996 Volvo 855 Leak at heater hose coupling

I think that is the problem though. The coupler I got from Volvo did not require adding any additional rings. All you had to do was plug in the heater hoses from one end and the pipes from the other. I remember because I bought the plastic plugs and rings separately and returned them because I never...
