Re: 1996 850 Fuel pump - recommendations?
Jeff is right. Getting to the pump is over half the battle. The swap takes a minute, literally. I used the Walbro and it's been satisfactory ever since. The problem is there's not much of an alternative. At least when I was looking for a solution. It was either get a new assembly, an old working ass...

Re: Brake failure, service transmission, srs airbag, no guag
Ok, I stand corrected. Does anybody have anything useful to contribute concerning the op? It seems this issue is becoming more common. In another thread I read that replacing the CEM did alleviate the issue but that's dealer only and worth nearly the purchase price of my car. Can anybody confirm? TIA

Re: Brake failure, service transmission, srs airbag, no guag
When I disconnect the battery I take the key out completely. I'm not sure how keeping the key in pos 2 will change anything. Afterwards to reset the alarm system all that needs to be done is to press the unlock button on the remote 3 times. As for the scantool issue, I have a cheap Autel MS409 and i...

Re: s80 electrical failure cem dim dashboard
I have not had this issue YET but it seems these cars have the worst electrical gremlins. In that if there is one, it's often impossible to find. Like you suggested, have you checked out continuity at the CEM. There was a pinout diagram somewhere for I don't recall where I found it. Hope it works ou...

Re: Brake failure, service transmission, srs airbag, no guag
Before you start changing parts and throwing money at it. Get it checked out by an independant shop or dealer. The codes are most likely communications related and have nothing to do with the function of the parts, in general. I've been battling this for a long time now and know it's electrical in n...

Re: WTB: 2000 S80 T6 Sport Springs
That's exactly what I mean! My current S80 seems to be the same. The back is jacked way too much for my liking. Makes it look more like a ricer than a luxury sedan. No offence to ricers out there. My last one was level and handled like it was on rails. Alas my brother took her for a ride and she met...

Re: WTB: 2000 S80 T6 Sport Springs
Thanks for the link. Those seem to be a premium set. Almost 400 usd for a set for the s80 on the site. A set of H&Rs are nearly half the price. What would justify the 150 or so difference? Quality?
Anybody have spares or good used ones to sell.

WTB: 2000 S80 T6 Sport Springs
It seems that Eibach has discontinued production of springs for this car. I can't seem to find them anywhere. They were the cheapest performance solution I could think of. I'd like to lower the car a bit, nothing drastic. Mostly though, I'd like it to look level and perform better in corners and up ...

Re: Brake Failure Please Stop ASAP error...plus lights galor
Hi All, I'm a disillusioned owner of a 2000 S80 T6 with all the same symptoms that many of you are having. And have been driving this way for the majority of this year. Living in Ontario though has the benefit of having good Volvo independants and quick access to places like Xemodex (Chris). So here...

Re: putting a 960 TB on a N/A 850...
I think the reason that the turbo TBs are 55mm and not 60mm is for maintaining air velocity. I had an S80 T6 and both lines from the compressor to the intercooler were tiny in comparison to the intake lines. Having a larger than necessary hose will only slow down and decompress the air you worked so...
