Re: V70 pulling to the left
A long time has gone since I addressed Matthews Volvo Homepage. That is mainly due to two broken ribs, a punctured lung and a broken collarbone. I'm OK now :-) -- I solved the problem very simple: A thorough flush of the hydraulic fluid in steering system did the job. After all, - the car had rounde...

Re: V70 pulling to the left
Check your rear subframe bushings, especially the front large one, to which the stay is connected. The car may be aligned properly, but when it gets to the road the worn bushing slacks and changes the toe angle of the tire. Also does your car have Nivomats? The Nivomats have to be pumped up before ...

Re: V70 pulling to the left
You must admit ~3º isn't much. How long ago did you change your "wishbones" (aka Front Control Arms)? If they came with rubber bushings which, a) have aged or b) were cheap to begin with, poly bushings will help. I never quantified any wandering or torque steer in my 2002 but I do know th...

V70 pulling to the left
Hi everybody, My 2007 V70T aut. 282.000km (~175.000 miles) pulls to the left more often than not. An example: At a flat straight road, I remove my hands from the steering wheel. The steering wheel turns ~3° to the left and the car follows. I have changed this: - Top bearing in McPherson - Springs - ...

Re: This Vadis look legit?
Problems with installing Vadis on Win7: Changing from XP to Win7 I have had problems with installing a lot of the old software I needed at work. The solution was to use Win7 Pro or better and add the XP extension. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-xp-mode This ext...

1998 945T ABS system, intermittent fail
Hi, I'm been away from this forum for some time due to work overload... Now I have this problem with my wife's 945T/98 European issue: The ABS lamp seems to have its own life, - it turns on and off with irregular intervals. In Europe we do not have the luxury of an OBD compliant interface in the lat...

Re: 850 Turbo, 95, stumbles during hard acceleration-turbo
A significant number of 850 Turbo owners in Denmark have had similar problems when using Bosch and other non-Volvo spark plugs.
I do not know what makes the Volvo spark plugs special, but they appear to have a quality not offered by any other supplier.

Re: I give up....
Dear pkuevor, With risk of repeating myself: The sound in your video is similar to the sound I experienced when the drain in the ventilation assembly in my 850 was clogged . In the video, when driving over bumps in the road, the noise disappears shortly and then comes back, - as I experienced it. Th...

Re: I give up....
Hi pkuevor, An addition to my entry yesterday. Driving through France during summer hollyday 2012 a noise occured, - similar to what is appearing in your video. The noise was depending on speed and acceleration. With the few tools available (camping with a tent), the lower inner lining of the dashbo...

Re: I give up....
Do you have the noise when the blower is not running?
My guess:
The drain pipe in the blower is blocked and water has assembled in the blower housing.
If unlucky, the water will freeze and prevent the fan from moving.
