I need to remove the pressed on pulley 'nut' and cannot find a specific tool for the volvo.
Do you have any recommendations? Will this work? it says for GM and Ford.

Where to buy this part?
I attempted to replace my fuel pump this weekend (thanks for the diagnosis help Bill).
In the process of taking the hoses off, I accidentally broke off both the tubes coming out from the top of the tank.
Where is the best place to get this metal cap-'fuel pump holder' thing?

Re: Extremely corroded fuel pump connections
A good soak with WD40 or, if you can get it, Plusgas, similar to WD40 but much more potent. Also try to get a pipe wrench on to it to give better leverage. Bill. Thanks Bill. Side question....since the connector on the top has broken off, do you think i now need the whole assembly. I guess I'll fig...

Extremely corroded fuel pump connections
I atttempted to replace the fuel pump (92 240wagon) this weekend. After removing the cover, I noticed a lot of corrosion on the cap. The connection easily broke off. I tried to turn the cover (hammer and wood method to get it started) to no avail. Very rusty as well. I plan to make WD40 my new best ...

Re: No start issue! Please help. 1992 240 wagon
Bill, The location of the fuel pump relay was on the passenger side. It must be different for the US models somehow. I switched the 'known good' relay into the 'no start' car. It still did not start. I did not have time to check the fuse. If the fuses turn out OK everything is pointing to the actual...

Re: No start issue! Please help. 1992 240 wagon
It is in the same place as the '92. The relay was moved to this position after the 1988 model. Bill. bill, from the diagram, looks like the fuel pump relay is located in the same place as the shift indicator control unit. can you tell me which one to pull or is it labeled somehow? i really apprecia...

Bill,
The donor car is a 91 240 wagon. Could you tell me the location of the fuel pump relay? Thanks!

No start issue! Please help. 1992 240 wagon
I just picked up a 92 240 wagon for $150 non-running. I tried to bring it back to life today with no success. Here's what I know: -there's good gas in the car -there's spark from the coil to the distributor to the plugs -the air filter is not clogged I opened the gas cap and tried to listen to the p...
