Re: Turn Signal Intermittent
Thanks for the replies. I read today if there's an issue with a filament on one of the turn signals that the electrical inteference could cause some issues. I checked this evening an noticed that one of the front signals was markedly weaker than the other. I'll change the bulb and check to see if th...

Turn Signal Intermittent
When the turn signal lever is 'activated', both left and right, it will often act intermittently or not at all. It works normally sometimes or when I turn off (neutral position) then back on (L or R) if it was acting intermittently. Is this a component problem within the steering column or something...

Re: 2001 XC70 SUSPENSION CHANGE
Do you have a suggestion for which Bilstein shock works for the 2001 XC70?

Re: 2001 XC70 SUSPENSION CHANGE
The car is in good shape. Mechanic says 300K shouldn't be a problem. He offered to buy it actually for his high school kid. Rides pretty solid with no vibration whatsoever at any speed. Have not had any issues with either transmission or engine, so I'd like to keep the car for a while longer.

2001 XC70 - 200k miles Suspension Replacement?
My '01 XC70 has 206K. I've never replaced either coil springs or shock / struts. My mechanic says the car is fairly 'tight' but everything I read screams replacement. What should I consider replacing if anything at all? A total 'makeover' of all components or just struts, or something in between? As...

Re: Strut and Suspension Replacement
1) There is only one company that makes shocks for the 2001 XC70 if your mechanic is giving you an option then he is looking at the wrong part. 2) The only advantage I see with replacing the other parts is that you are already there. You can replace the other parts with out replacing the shock, how...

Strut and Suspension Replacement
My 2001 XC70 has 202,000. I've never replaced any of the struts. My mechanic, whom I trust, says the ride is still decent. But based on mileage alone is recommending replacement. Questions include, Bilstein versus Monroe or is their another decent replacement part available? Is it prudent and easier...

Re: ABS Rear Wheel Signal
The right rear sensor showed bad again. Replaced (warranty part) again but no current between it and the ABS module. OHM checked enough wire to string up a house worth of Christmas lights. Finally pinpointed a junction box pin under the hood up under the dash. Used a nice overlay and as of this writ...
