Re: Weird warm no start issue 00 R
well car dropped a valve today, i could only assume that since it was sitting for so long that a lifter was sticking or gummed up allowed a valve to stay open and come in contact with the piston, it will be towed next week to ARD to have them pull it apart and rebuild the head

Re: I'm back.. another new Volvo
Well to make you feel better, The R dropped a valve today when i was starting it to flush and change all the oil...... i am scared to see what this will cost me, tho Robert who owns ARD tuning is only 20 mins away I will probably tow it to him and have him do a valve job... guess it will get everyth...

Re: Weird warm no start issue 00 R
i would have considered that but its engaging, turns over just fine. I am thinking its either the VVT or cam sensor not letting it fire up once warm..

Weird warm no start issue 00 R
2000 V70R 130k Car starts great when cold, can warm it up shut it down and will restart no issues, let it sit come back and it spins fast, makes you think timing belt is broken (its intact) or lack of compression... I am wondering if its an issue with the Exhaust cam? i know its variable is it possi...

Re: I'm back.. another new Volvo
I have had several XC's all with low to high miles and they were all fantastic, just fuel pumps haha, right now i think i have to really flush the oil system i suspect that the VVT isn't resetting when i turn it off as sometimes when i go to restart it acts like it has a broken timing belt, no resis...

Re: 96 854 n/a smoke under distributor cap
I dont know N/A motor set ups too well, but I would think given the area and general direction of hose travel I would say Flame Trap/PCV system, like i said i don't know the set up of a n/a but i know there are some on here who know better about them. when the engine is warm and you pull the dipstic...

Re: ECU air duct, is it required?
do you absolutely need it.. no but its nice to help keep the brain of the car cool, if you were like me with a Tuned T5 then absolutely i like to keep it as cool as i can rather than risk it getting too hot. Take a laptop computer it gets hot when you use it a lot, different programs etc with out th...
