I'm unable to open the trunk of my 440 Volvo. Last time I closed it I heard a clink sound and I'm unable to get it open ever since :shock:
I have searched for instruction on how to get it open and fix it but ...

Alas! I found it! Its part nº 3542743. It's hidden under a plastic protection and about 7 centimeters off the left side windshield washer arm.
Here is the the assembly image I found using the part's number:

The windshield wipers of my V40 work fine except if I want to use the slower/intermittent wiping speed which is not working at all. I went to the volvo service and they first replaced the control lever by the steering wheel but the problem persisted. They investigated further and told me the problem ...

My V40 had the same issue, once I got to a certain speed it shaked all over. The problem was the tires needed to be replaced and calibrated.

It depends on the Volvo guard system the car carries, in your case Earl you either have the volvo guard basic or the volvo guard II alarm systems.
Mine has the volvo guard I, wich only requires all doors closed, hood and trunk included, ignition on position II and then pressing the "A" shapped alarm ...
