2000 V70 battery question
We have owned our 2000 V70 base model for 5+ years. We bought it used (obviously) and it had a new Volvo brand battery in it at the time of purchase. How long can I expect that battery to last? My wife is going out of town in that car from time to time and I can't have her breaking down. I keep the ...

You need the radiator with the female connectors. The male connectors wont work. The female connector radiator generally cost a few more bucks, or in my experience. I saw one on ebay today for $71 dollars. I paid $237 for one at NAPA. What a journey that has been. Don't get me started..

Even though I replaced mine I can't tell you that I know exactly how it works. I had an intermittent no start condition also on my 00 V70. I first suspected that it was a fuel system issue but, ruled that out. I eventually replaced the sensor ring and the problem went away. But, first thing this am ...

Thanks for all the info. That's great. I talked with my wife tonight as we are riding in the car. We agreed that if I could find seat covers that look good she would be OK with it. So, I'm on the hunt for some tan leather or nice vinyl covers.

00 V70 fixing everything..
I have a 2000 V70 that I have decided to keep. It has 165,000 miles on it and drives beautifully. I was going to trade it for a big SUV but, have decided that I have a good car that gets decent gas mileage and looks great. The car has a couple of drivable issues I need to address. 1). The leather dr...

The bread bag ties will probably last the summer if your not in a real hot location. I did that and they melted over the warm season. The hose clap sections are still kicking.

Just did this procedure on my 2000 V70 NA. It's exactly the same process and fluid amounts as my Honda CRV. Very easy. I used Castrol Transmax 3309 compliant fluid. Nutin to it. I used exactly 3 quarts. The fluid in my transmission was just nasty. My car has 143,000. I have done some reading and fee...

I replaced my lock cylinder last year. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to get the security bolts out but, other than that it's easy.

Re: 2000 V70 hesitates slightly while accelerating
I have a 2000 V70 that had the same symptoms. I cleaned everything, tested what I could and kept getting erroneous codes, etc.. Finally I came to the conclusion that it may be a coil pack. I waited a few days and finally got a code for coil pack #1. I ran up to Auto Zone, bought a coil pack and that...
