Svenska, that's really cool. You could always go with airbags and drop the car when you're riding sans bambinos. :D Even after completely removing the spring from my wagon, it was no where near as low as my friend's type 3 Ghia.....(This is not photoshopped!) http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/1699/...

Here's a little photoshop mockup. A tad extreme, but I liked what I saw....thus starting this whole silly endeavor.

That's the plan. They're going in Saturday. I'll post before and after pictures for people to compare the height difference. I couldn't find many pictures at all of a V70 before/after with eibachs.

Ah, Ozark man, you called my bluff! Yes, I was just trying to get a chuckle. My friend and I tried to go ghetto and cut a half coil off the springs. This won't work!! The springs have a smaller end coil on the top AND the bottom, resulting in a freaky-scary strut of death when you put it back togeth...

Lowered my 1998 V70 HARDCORE

Hey guys, just wanted to share my lowering experience with you. Here's some pics of the front. I'm doing the backs after I get back from my cross country trip to Georgia. The ride is a little rough, but the best part.........................Totally FREEEE. I just removed the springs completely, inst...

For folks living in the San Francisco Bay Area: I took my car in for a 60k service at Carlsen Volvo in Palo Alto. They managed to remove my fumoto valve and then charge me for a fresh OEM Volvo plug. I didn't even realize this until a few days later when I looked under the car and saw the shiny new ...

Amp

No idea about the amp...sorry. I think a few other threads touch on it lightly. I also had difficulty finding decent resources online when it came to the stereo's wiring. That's why I posted that photo of the connectors. Most stereo stuff I've just figured out for myself with a little help here and ...

Amp & Wiring

No, my car did not have that little extra amp that some Volvos have. I didn't use any wiring diagrams to hook up my hi/lo converter. I wanted to be sure of everything, so I opened the rubber snakes that house the wires at the leading inside edge of the back doors to figure out which color wires went...

simple OBDII reader

I rented a very basic OBDII reader from autozone for free when I first bought my used volvo...just to take a peek. They charge 180 and then refund it when you bring it back. this reader is ultra simple though.

crap on a volvo

Why not? Volvos already have a ton of crap anyhow...seat warmers, mini wipers for the headlights. You should have seen my last vehicle!
