So i have replaced the Fuel pressure regulator which by the way is not above or even near the tank on my 98 V70 XC it is near front axle on passenger side. So since i wasn't able to get a clear answer i decided to just follow the vacuum hose back from the engine to find out the Fuel Pressure Regulator on a 1998 V70 XC AWD is NOT on top of the tank it is right above the front axle/ I have attached a couple pics to show and also verified the part number ...

Is this something i can get to then or is it true the entire rear end and tank need to be dropped? Would this be best done by a shop?

Wow this is going to be a nightmare. Someone mentioned cutting an access hole to get to it instead of dropping the tank?

Can the Fuel Pressure Regulator be accessed the same way the tank can? I was told on the 1998 V70 XC AWD the FPR is on top of the tank?

Well i am on that thread as well but i guess im hoping that somone has does this swap out before and may have pics or some sort of guidance. Do i need to drop tank? can you access this through access panel ... etc
