Pulled blower motor and a huge water gush
My son just pulled his blower fan and a bunch of water (not coolant BTW) came out. What does he need to fix?

Continental Belt Tracking to Inside Edge of Cam Gears. How Can I Center It??
It's right at the inside edge of gears and that edge is getting slightly fuzzy. There's no wobble of the belt. There is a small wobble of the tensioner indicator (maybe 1/8").

Re: Should the engine run WITH both cam sensors UNPLUGGED?
Yes it is normal. But if you are getting codes, I don't believe you have timed it right. You also didn't say if you correctly timed the VVT hub(or hubs). I think it is timed correctly. The crank is on its mark and both cams were clocked full CW (top of gear turned right) when facing the belt. At th...

Should the engine run WITH both cam sensors UNPLUGGED?
My son bought a XC-70 as his first car with a blown head gasket. He was able to repair the car. No more breached head but has been getting timing codes. No idea if they were there before since it had unknown issues. We retimed it so that with the crank on the mark, both cam slots (rear of engine... ...

Re: P0014 P0017 P0011 Timing Codes on VVT 5 Cylinder (cams over advanced and not sync'd)
The cam timing has to be reset with the VVT units clocked hard counterclockwise per the VIDA procedure I’ll try find the link If I'm understanding you correctly, I may be in errror. I was under the impression that with the cams locked, the cam gears should be turned fully clockwise before the belt ...

Re: P0014 P0017 P0011 Timing Codes on VVT 5 Cylinder (cams over advanced and not sync'd)
I was thinking the VVT pulleys needed to be turned fully clockwise to the end of rotation (with cams locked) before the belt goes back on. Is this incorrect?

P0014 P0017 P0011 Timing Codes on VVT 5 Cylinder (cams over advanced and not sync'd)
My son's first car (04 XC70) was bought running great, but using coolant due to a blown head gasket and warped head. We fixed this and still is running great, but giving us some codes. We rotated the engine several times and all marks line up (as well as cam locking tool). So I think that means it's...
