Pulled blower motor and a huge water gush

Post by 777funk »

My son just pulled his blower fan and a bunch of water (not coolant BTW) came out. What does he need to fix?

Without model info guessing a bit. Under the cowl in front of the windshield on the passenger side there is an air intake. On my XC90 it needed resealing to the lower cowl to keep water from getting in the cabin. That would be my guess.

Nissan Versa's have a similar issue. Debris plugs up the cowl drains then water goes into the air intake ending up in the floorboard.
Off topic, my wife's Nissan Quest had a terrible vibration from the blower. It was parked for a couple of weeks and squatters moved in.
