Worst part would be the T-25 (20??) torx screws holding the boost valve in the turbo cars.

I bought a radiator from RockAuto and it is identical to the radiator I removed except the oil and trans couplers were separate brass fittings that I had to screw on myself. A lot of folks don't use the cam tool... I don't know if the cost of the tool and the wait for shipping offsets the aggravation of having to line the cams up by hand. The factory pump is practically glued in to the block. It's possible that this has already been replaced and was glued in with something even tougher to break. The BMW M30B35 straight six has the purge bolt inches away from the fan blades. Good times there.

This system seems to purge itself. The t/stat I bought didn't have a jiggle valve or hole in it so I drilled a 1/16" hole in the edge and put it in.

The only other variable I can come up with is that if I unlock the hatch with the key and the immo is on, it disables the alarm. So somehow that zone is partially working.

What does this sound like? My A/C compressor makes a terrible clattering/whirring noise only when the clutch is engaged. When it's disengaged you can't hear it. I'm wondering if it could be contributing to the overall sluggishness of the car when the A/C is on... it really peps up when the A/C is off.

If you buy a can with a gauge, you can fill it (and check pressure) from that port. There is no high side port.

Also - the pressure changes based upon how hot it is outside. The can should have a table showing how many PSI you should have vs how hot it is outside.

My 850 has it behind the "hatch" that you remove to change the brake lights. You have to pull up the floor on that side to get to the little screw/latch you have to turn to release it. I assume the V70 is similar. You will see a pull ring at the top of the opening when you pull out the hatch.

I could maybe turn it back half a turn but I'm having fun now :) The cotter pin broke and of course I don't have a spare so I put a safety pin in it's place. Going to pick up another one tomorrow and when I reinstall it, I'll turn it back 1/2.

Just adjusted waste gate rod today - WOW!

Took like 15 minutes. Easiest 'repair' I've ever done! Remove the heat shield bolts, loosen the jamb nut, two turns shorter, tighten nut, done! The power comes on SO MUCH FASTER now! It's a too "on or off" at mid throttle but it's like a whole new car! It's a shame the computer limits the boost in 1...

It looks to me like this piece is fitted into a slot cut into the edge of the console and goes down vertically. Maybe it's anchored under the carpet to the tunnel under the console. I wouldn't think that idle would influence the MPG though - since even though you're getting 0 MPG there is minimal gas going in.

I think this was the original o2 sensor - I was hoping I could get it out in one piece and test it but the butt-dyno sure proved that I didn't waste my time and money.

My wagon has pretty dark tint in the back... If you can put your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock and attempt to turn the wheel left and right, that is probably the tie rod ends. If you can put your hands at 12 and 6 o'clock, that is likely ball joints.

I had to replace my ball joints and there was significant movement of the left wheel.

There are a bunch of bedding-in procedures... I don't go nuts with mine, just a few 30-0 stops, then a few 60-0 stops, then a few 30-0 stops, then a few 20-0 stops. You want to bring the heat up and then back down fairly quick but not to be a shock to the rotors and pads. PS... if you have a ridge f...

And make sure you torque to spec and then torque to angle! This is the last place you want a bolt to work loose. I will explain it as best I can... When you take the wheel off and look behind the knuckle, you will see the bolt that locks the ball joint in place. If you look at the new ball joint it has a portion machined out of it. How it stays locked in is the bolt passes through the knuckle and that portion ...

The arms look the same as the 850 arms (aside from the subframe bushings of course...) The hard part is getting something in there to spread them. If you...

If you have access to a good air compressor you can try an air chisel with a very blunt tip. I had to use one to spread the ears to get the ball joints out. I wonder if you could use a Tirfor or hi-lift (whatever you want to call it) to brace against something and pull the mount forward with a hook?...

The system is to keep gas evaporating from the fuel tank from getting into the atmosphere. The charcoal canister is to trap the evaporated fumes when the car is off.
