Re: Is the year 2000, 70's series really that different?
What about a Haynes book for the 1999 volvo? What actually changed on the 70's series from -99 to 2000?

Is the year 2000, 70's series really that different?
I'm trying to find a repair manual for my 2000 s70 GLT, but all publications (Haynes, Clifton, etc) only covers the 70's series up to 1999. What is so different with the 2000 version? Can I still use those manuals for my car?

Fuel smell and code P0442
Could anyone help me out with this one:
I got a 2000 Volvo S70GLT with 170K miles on it. Recently CEL Code P0442 came on. Car runs fine but is a bit difficult to start after standing a few days. There is also a fuel smell in the garage... Suggestions what to check?

Re: Synthetic or mineral oil?
Great, thanks for the info. I don't like to mess with the oil myself so I'll take it to a shop. Do you recommend paying a few extra bucks for having a volvo dealer do it, or is Grease Monkey, MIDAS etc. equally good?

Synthetic or mineral oil?
I just purchased a 2005 XC90 2,5T with 48K miles on it. Here is the question: 1. The Volvo manual recommends the oil/filter to be changed every 7,500 miles. I've never driven a car more than 3,000 miles in between oil changes. Is it smart to wait to 7,500 miles before changing oil? 2. Synthetic or m...

Fuel Efficiency of XC90 2.5T.... FWD and AWD
We've owned a number of Volvos over the years. We're interested in buying the XC90 2.5T (not the T6 due to numerous negative reviews), but was wondering if anyone has any information as to what the difference is in fuel efficiency between the FWD and the AWD.

Wich XC90 is most reliable?
I'm planning on buying a used XC90 but can’t seem to make up my mind on either the more fuel efficient 2,5T or the T6, or even the V8 model. I'm looking at all models from 2004 to 2006. Which of these would you recommend based on reliability?

Re: I'm considering a 2003 S40
So if I manage to get power to the Radio, it will ask for the code. I know the seller does not know it. How can I figure that out? Is the radio usless if I can't enter in the correct code?

Re: I'm considering a 2003 S40
Great info thanks a lot. This car has no service records whatsoever hence the low price. I'll make sure to have all that done a.s.a.p.

I'm considering a 2003 S40
I just test drove a 2003 VOLVO S40 with 120K miles on it. I'm getting a really good deal on the car but there are a few questions that I would like to ask here: 1. The original CD/radio does not turn on. It's totally dead and hopefully it's just a C.B. or something like that. Where are they located ...
