Re: WHERE TO BUY REPLACEMENT DOOR PANEL - '96 850 GLT
The place on ebay that I listed is a junkyard in Ohio. Their price is super reasonable - $39.00 plus $25.00 for shipping - at least compared to what I was expecting. The only thing I am unsure about is if that panel will be a perfect match to my current one. Are all interior door panel "color s...

Where to buy replacement door panel - '96 850 GLT
Hello all, The door handle casing/panel on my Interior Front Passenger Door Panel ripped off. I tried repairing it will epoxy and vinyl glue but now it looks pretty horrible and is definitely not sturdy enough for someone to close the door using it. Re: Rebuilt ABS modules, advance exchange or rebuild
Matt, I would like to purchase a module for my '96 850 GLT w/ TRACS. I live in CT. and will be moving out to Holland, Michigan on Thursday, May 19th. Should I buy now and try to get them switched before I leave or wait until I get to Michigan? Basically, how long do you think will shipping take? Tha...

Is it REALLY my ABS Module?? '96 850 GLT
I have a 1996 Volvo 850 GLT and I think I am going to buy a reconditioned Module and replace my old one but I just want to make absolutely sure this is the issue before I shell out 79.99 and the time it takes to switch these units... This is what I experience: - I'll be driving and perhaps I'll go a...

Control Arm/Ball Joint Replacement Advice - 850 '97
Hey All. Just fixed my A/C thanks to your expertise (for only $31.27!) and now I am moving onto my Control Arms... I have a feeling these will be a bit more difficult to replace than my A/C fix but I'm ready. Here's my initial questions... 1.) FCPGroton sells replacement control arms for $37.50 - ht...

Re: A/C or ECC System Not Functioning - 97' 850 GLT
Bought a new A/C Pressostat switch from FCPGroton, which happened to be only an hour from where I lived so I went and picked up the switch and saved on shipping. Popped my hood in their parking lot, unscrewed the old one, screwed on the new one, clipped the plug back on, started the car and....... B...

Re: A/C or ECC System Not Functioning - 97' 850 GLT
Great. Will do. I am going to take it to a Volvo Specialist who is pretty cheap in the area to see if he has a spare Pressostat switch in his shop. If not there, then I will buy one from FCPGroton. Either way, Ill post an update asap.
Thanks for your patience and help!

Re: A/C or ECC System Not Functioning - 97' 850 GLT
According to this thread: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30683 AviatorD had the same problem that I do. He ordered a new A/C Pressostat (the switch I bypassed with the paperclip) for $29.50 and simply unscrewed the old one and screwed on the new one. According to th...

Re: A/C or ECC System Not Functioning - 97' 850 GLT
Ooo... hmm. Ok. Now for the million dollar question... How much do you think this will run me? - So, if I were to unscrew that switch myself all the refrigerant would should out? How does a shop do it? Thanks again for all your help. :) Sure its not the $0.00 answer I had hoped for but at least I kn...

Re: A/C or ECC System Not Functioning - 97' 850 GLT
Ok jablackburn, Wow. I did it. I used a paperclip to "jump" the switch you have pictured. The compressor started up! I plugged my gauge in and did it again. The pressure then fell from 90ish to around 10 psi! So...assuming this was the next step (hopefully), I went ahead and added the r134...
