Re: What is everyone's average mpg?
I drive my 97 850 NA about 240 miles a dayto and from work. It has 127000 miles and cluster mpg readout says I'm averaging between 28 and 30mpg, which seems pretty accurate if i calculate it out manually. Mostly interstate commuting and averaging around 70-75mph.

Re: EVAP Circuitry???
I guess it was good I didn't find a match at the yard... lol So what would be causing this P0446 since I've swapped out the purge valve, canister valve, canister, and just about all the hoses ( havent done the ones that go the the fuel tank yet? I have still never seen any voltage at the canister va...

Re: EVAP Circuitry???
I guess I'll try and hit up the pick and pull in the morning and see if I get lucky there. I'll post an update when I do. Thanks Again.

Re: Control Arm Replacement Help
I put the torch and some PB Blaster to it, but once I brought in the 3lb hammer and the socket on an impact extension, it gave in fairly quickly. Thanks for the advice.

Re: EVAP Circuitry??? Latest update
So I finally got the opportunity to get back to this and here is what I found so far. I checked the resistance at the canister valve and the evap valve and they both seemed to check out fine. I checked for broken hoses in those areas as well since I saw a few examples of cracked hoses at the pick an...

EVAP Circuitry & charcoal canister, Volvo 850
Hello, I have a 1997 850 non turbo and I have been having an evap problem for quite a while now. The charcoal canister I have is the square one, which surprisingly has a GM stamp on it( Didn't know GM supplied volvo parts back then), I have also replaced the purge valve with one from FCP with no suc...

Control Arm Replacement Help
Hello All, I am in the process of replacing the front passenger side control arm and cannot get the bushing bolt off. I sprayed everything with PB Blaster prior to starting and the nut for the bushing came off without a problem. The bolt on the other hand would not move. I tried using a cheater bar ...

Re: Is this a potential vacuum leak source?
Good to know it is not supposed to have anything plugged into it. In the last picture the inside of that unused connection has a hole in it like something punched through it. Is this normal then? To address the fuel smell, i didn't smell a strong fuel smell, but you can smell fuel and I was curious ...

Is this a potential vacuum leak source?
Hello All, I looked at my gas tank inlet connection today looking to see if that might be the source of my evap leak callout and I found a couple things that didn't make sense to me and was hoping to get some feedback from the forum. I have included pics as well to help. Possible hole.JPG Possible h...

Re: Evap P0446 problem
I've finally had a chance to revisit this problem and keep seeing references to the evap vent valve circuit. Is the vent valve the one inside the drivers side fender? I followed the shop manual procedure and even put voltage on the pruge valve to test it and it works. I am getting 6 volts at the pur...
