For the past several months we've been getting an "Engine System Service Requried" message in the message window. Unforutnately have no idea what it means and it wasn't on when we last took the car in for service so they couldn't diagnose it.

Recently I've noticed that when the car is idling when the AC kicks on, the engine idle will momentarily drop by about 250 rpm. This is pretty annoying because it causes the car to shudder a bit and just doesn't sound very good.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

About two weeks ago I was working on our 99 Volvo S80 and mistakenly disconnected the positive batter terminal before removing the negative terminal.
