Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Drove the car almost 90 miles and the light didn't come on, I double checked my milease, I was getting 22mpg in city driving. So all was good, but I ordered a matching part number ECM/ECU (0 261 204 224 & P01270416 and FD.2 lettering on the right side) from Ebay and took it to my Mechanic, we re...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Like i said before....bad MAF will make rpm's go up & down following with black smoke or sooth from the exhaust, loss of power.Fuel consumption would be a double or triple higher than usual. Bad (front)o2 sensor will also make the car running very rich=abnormal fuel consumption(and from my perso...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

I don't get it .....what is the problem then :?: Your mechanic said that the car is running rich.... If your car is running rich(like he said)you would have a black smoke from the exhaust as a result of unburned fuel and that's a fact. Sorry maybe I didn't explain it well enough. He was getting the...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Do you have a black smoke from the exhaust at idle? When you step on the gas and run the engine at about 2k rpm's constantly for a while(15-20s)...does the black smoke disappear or not? Does it have two o2 sensors or just one (the front one)? No Black smoke at idle, no black smoke at all (but I wil...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Yep it's p0 1270416...i just left the "p0" thing. Yes it is P01270416, as you can see in the picture, so according to your Doc this is the original and correct ECM on my car?... http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n606/PHHQ/96-850/1996-850-GLT-ECM-FED2.jpg Yep it's p0 1270416...i just lef...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Well....0 261 204 224 is Motronic 4.3('96-'97) with automatic transmission & obdII diagnostic.Volvo number(according to my document) should be *12 70 416* or *91 86 161*. You should find replacement ecu with exact the same Bosch numbers(0 261 204 224). For more accurate results...ask your mecha...

Re: 850 Non-Turbo ECU/ECM Replacement

Update... They shop couldn't find the correct ECM here in the west coat, cause my car is a Midwest car, so it does not have the all the emission stuff on it (Secondary Air, EGR & Pulse Valve). They told me that they did put a new Bosch MAF sensor, and the flow was fluctuating from like 30 to 90 ...

Re: 850 Tailgate Molding (Below Glass)

That's how I put my top one on. The main reason I see for keeping the bottom one on is to make sure the wiper doesn't fall into the crack. Very Good point. For longevity of the blade car makers do cover the glass to body gap with moldings, that is true. But I would way the risk here is very low, an...
