Well I removed the IAC to clean it, and I am noticing that it does not appear to be dirty at all. So I suppose it either needs replacing, or it is in fact not the valve itself but something else. Recall that I am also getting an error code for the cold start valve. Could it be the ECM that is failing?

Well this feels like progress anyway. When my problems first began there were no codes on OBD, but now I have two for fuel. They are 3-2-1 and 2-2-3. Cold start valve, and idle valve. What can I do to test these before I replace them. Or what else can you advise. Thanks!

Update. I replaced the fuel filter and the car will still not start. There is fuel getting to the engine, and there is a spark. Something to do with the fuel injectors perhaps? This is a mystery to me, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Yeah, I can hear the fuel pump. It seems plausible that the filter is frozen, it was pretty cold out while my car was not running. Thanks for the second on that suggestion, jerrymcc, I think I will make that my next replacement.
