Wheel wobble and noises.
I've got a 2001 v70 - 3 things: 1. Front offside wheel has a slight wobble when pushed and pulled at 9 and 3 (nothing at 12 and 6) also when going slow over bumpy ground theres a slight knocking noise from that side. Anyone know what it is? 2. When I start the car in 'P' there is a slight vibration ...

Re: Alarm problems
The lights flashed on mine, but there was no chirp, I don't think it does chirp. Even with the new unit in it does not chirp. Try arming the alarm then open the drivers door with the key, or open the window, arm the alarm wait 30 seconds then lean into the car through the window. When I did these te...

Re: Alarm problems
Based on my experience (which is minimal) I would say your alarm battery has gone, they seem to last about 10 years. Does the alarm work at all? You can get the Siren kit over here for about £91 (145 dollars) it takes about an hour to fit. Theres a post on here that shows you what you need to do, or...

Re: Alarm problems
I had the dealers in Portsmouth do the job as I wanted the DRL turned off as well (£21 to turn off) They wanted to charge £156 for the siren, but when I said I would supply the kit that I could get for £91 they offered to match that price. They also did the job while I waited took about and hour alt...

Lumpy start
I havent started the V70 for 3 days, when I did it was very lumpy, the rpm went up and down and the engine stalled. This lasted about 4 seconds. It didnt seem to respond to the throttle during that time. I started it again, it cranked over for a couple of seconds, then fired up normally. Is there a ...

All Doom and Gloom
Reading this forum with everyone asking about this problem and that, which is understandable, its where everyone comes for help after all, but it make me wonder, generally how reliable are v70's compared with similar car from different stables. How many of you would say "I'll never buy another ...

Re: Battery Drain
Thanks for the reply - No its not dying (yet), but if I go away for a couple of weeks and leave the car I don't want the battery to go flat (as my merc used too) I can't find much info on current drain, my best estimate on what I have found is around 25mA. So I'm just trying to get that figure verif...

Can anyone tell me how much current the alarm system should draw from the main battery while its in standby (in other words while the car is locked after all the systems have settled down)? On a V70 2001
