Update: I believe I found the issues, there is apparently an inline fuse on the starter cable, it is on the side of the battery off the positive side, kind of hard to see. Have 12V before the fuse, 0 after.

That was my first thought as well, however, I would've expected specific cylinders to be misfiring if it were the coils/plugs.

I will check them out when I go to replace the camshaft reset valve (while praying this is the only issue).

There has always been an issue with the immobilizer, however, it was rare, and removing the key and inserting it again seemed to always start the car if the first time failed. BTW, when the immobilizer problem occurs, the start is different ...
