Re: 3.5 Amp parasitic draw with all fuses and relays removed, '94 940T

Update: It was the alternator!! I saw an old comment mentioning that common causes include the alternator diode, so I disconnected it and boom! The draw is gone! Plugging the relays back in are going to be the hardest part of this job now.

3.5 Amp parasitic draw with all fuses and relays removed, '94 940T

Hi everyone, it is as the title says. I removed every fuse and relay under the radio and the draw remains. I also disconnected the starter, hoping it was some sort of short in there, but still it reads 3.5 Amps. The battery was dying overnight and I began measuring current and got 31mA until I tried...

Re: Can’t get rotors on after replacing parking brake shoes

You have the fancy independent rear suspension, the parking brake parts are actually very different if I remember correctly. I just did this job but it was for the solid rear axle

Help with Graphic Equalizer Wiring, 1994 Volvo 945 Turbo

I just purchased a volvo graphic Equalizer off eBay and the seller cut off the two smaller connectors for some reason. They were cut off a single black wire and single red wire. I thought the black would be grounded to the radio's case by a spade connector, but I have no idea if that's correct or wh...

2005 T6 XC90 Mystery Oil leak from Top Rear of Engine

Hi all, My parents recently bought a cheap XC90 ($2600) but didn't notice a big oil leak, it leaks down onto the exhaust and makes a big mess. I was trying to locate it, and after taking off the intake and intercooler hoses I think I've narrowed it down to either the valve cover, or turbo oil line. ...

Re: 94 940 Turbo Sputters, Misfires and Dies after 10 minute

Thanks for the tip. I replaced it last year after it started running terribly after cleaning the intake manifold and washing the block, I guess the grease and water really messed it up. I could always replace it again, but I am going to try the radio suppression relay and ignition control module fir...

94 940 Turbo Sputters, Misfires and Dies after 10 minutes

This has had me really scratching my head for the past two weeks and I'm getting to point where I'm going to start swapping out relays and whatnot, but I'd rather troubleshoot things a better way. A little background, this is a turbo wagon with 170k miles with a pre-pump and main pump, and is a bit ...

Re: 1990 Volvo 740 wagon GL won't start

Last year I ran into the same trouble with my 1992 940gl regina sedan. You WILL get fuel pressure but it won't be strong enough! The reason, as far as I could tell was that the fuel filter was never changed and it put stress on the fuel pump to the point where it finally was too weak to feed the eng...
