Re: Slight vibration at around 1400 RPM V50 T5 AWD
So since I wrote that post back in 2018 I owned another two V50 AWDs and they all had that problem to a degree. My current v50 AWD I have has exactly the same issue with a whine (especially on deceleration) along with the a vibration in the centre console at around the same RPM. The car has done abo...

Re: V50 T5 AWD with sluggish throttle response and lack of power.
Furthermore I did some logging today using VIDA and looks like one of my Oxygen sensors is reading constant 1v regardless of RPM or Load, the other one is working properly but the ECU doesn't through any codes... I wonder if that could impact the performance of the engine... I guess it could.

Re: V50 T5 AWD with sluggish throttle response and lack of power.
Oh and Vida showed no error codes related to the engine or any of its components, so must be something mechanical as the ECU thinks everything is working correctly.

Re: V50 T5 AWD with sluggish throttle response and lack of power.
Thanks guys for the responses, I got myself another V50 T5 which currently is apart due to overheating problem so I'll use the parts of it to check whats going on with my T5 AWD model. I have noticed that the response is even worse when I first start driving from cold so I'm thinking it could be the...

Re: V50 T5 B5254T Engine removal
Yeah I got an engine crane thats not an issue just trying to work out if I can remove the engine on its own from the top or both need to come out together with transmission. Also does any know if the front support panel of these cars can be unbolted and the engine with transmission slide out from th...

V50 T5 B5254T Engine removal
Hi Everyone, I got this 2010 Volvo V50 T5 which has an over heated engine, I was hoping it would be warped head that can be shaved of but looks like the warpage is on the block between the cylinder walls. I think the best way to resolve this issue is to install another good engine rather then rebuil...

Re: Height sensor rod ball joint popped out
Bit of an update, basically lot of grease and small vise helped to pop that ball joint back into its socket.

Height sensor rod ball joint popped out
Hey guys, took the front right wheel off my 2011 XC60 to check the wheel speed sensor and saw that the arm of the height sensor unit has come off (pretty sure this was done by a mechanic who replaced the CV shaft and didn't bother putting it back). My question is how do i pop this ball joint back in...

V50 T5 AWD with sluggish throttle response and lack of power.
So I recently got a 2007 V50 T5 AWD with 125,000kms and this is my second V50 T5 AWD so I'm familiar with how they drive and what throttle response they should have. However there seem to be something wrong with this one, the throttle seem to have a dead travel and overall is not zippy at all on tak...

Re: Power steering fluid is overflowing in 2002 S40
Just to give everyone an update incase you are having the same issue. I have drained the old fluid from the power steering system, installed a new filter in the reservoir, replaced the factory clumps on the pick up hose with some aftermarket ones that can be tightened properly, filled up the system ...
