Had the very same problem with my V70. The "crazy" switch problem.
No main beam, always the same lighting configured, regardless of ...

Well, the new XeMODeX ETM runs perfectly. I would have to say, probably better than the "Volvo" new ones.
On first starting, it ran a little rough, so shut it down...and restarted. It was perfect.

Drove it awhile and thought my fuel gauge was stuck ! Jeeez, the fuel it must be saving ...

Re the ETM needing to be recognised, with the XeMODex ETM, it's "plug n play" (or rather not in my case !)
But the ETM (this one) shouldn't need any software from the dealer...and as I guess they have sold these ETM's before, the first time it needed to go to a dealer for software, it would be all ...

Any ideas guys ?

It is the "off the shelf" one from XeMODeX (with preloaded software). You "exchange" your ETM for their ETM.

Having banged my head against the wall with the bloomin ETM, I took the plunge...and order one from XeMODeX in Canada.


The part came ! No problems there. Very fast service indeed.

Of course the Queen wanted some money aswell when it landed in Englandshire, so I had to give the UPS man some ...
