Closing this thread. Steering was stiff. Figured out it was the steering coupler. I needed dealer to do the work as I could not do it. Part and labor was about $700. Money well spent for a job i could not do. .

Read OBII codes. Have ignition coils and spark plugs been done? Just a thought.

The assist service required" and "abs service required" messages are intermittent. Will wait on bcm rebuild. That's the latest.

Patience is also the trick. Been there - done that... could not get belt to fit. Then all of a sudden it fits. Be sure to Slide belt onto the pulley with no lip, last.

Replaced 2 brake pressure switch with 2 from salvage yard and calibrated. Still getting brake "assist service required" and "abs service required"
Will read codes and report soon. Looks like sending the bcm out for rebuild is in my future.
