Re: 2002 V70 Bosch ETM position
abscate, You are a life saver! I may have been dumb enough to put the darn thing in the wrong way three times, but just smart enough to ask for help before I do real damage. I ordered a new gasket after your post last week, so it took a few days for me to get back to it. Got the ETM oriented correct...

Re: 2002 V70 Bosch ETM position
I think it does, thanks. If I'm looking at it right, the ETM is 90 degrees to how I've got mine. The black plastic cover on your ETM appears to be facing the driver's side (US, left-hand steering) instead of facing front. Is that correct?

2002 V70 Bosch ETM position
Hi all, I pulled the Bosch ETM on my 2002 V70 turbo to clean it. After replacing it, the car barely runs, VIDA reports immediate misfires on all cylinders. I didn't pay much attention to the way the ETM was oriented, and I'm wondering if I bolted back on in the wrong direction. The bolt hole pattern...

Re: leak detection pump on 2011 XC60
Thank you very much! My daughter is bringing the car by over the weekend, and this gives me a big head start on replacing the pump.

leak detection pump on 2011 XC60
Seems like this pump is in different spots with varying levels of difficulty in accessing, depending on which vehicle and which year. Can somebody please shed some light on where it is and how to get to it on a 2011 XC60?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushing replacement
Thanks for the quick replies. pdr1966sc, that's good info. I suppose I could try to press the old ones out while they're on the car, and if it won't work, then I can go ahead with the whole disassembly. Oragex, I was actually looking at the Lemförder bushings from IPD. Are the separately sold Lemför...

Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushing replacement
The front LCA bushings on my 2002 V70 are clearly shot. It seems like I might be able to press them out and press in new ones with a C-clamp-style press without removing the LCA. Is that doable?

Re: 2002 v70 2.4 turbo with TCM issue
Thanks, guys! I ended up using the technique here: http://sweet-sauer.com/2013/08/06/its-all-in-the-box/ which worked out pretty well. I had to move power steering reservoir and radiator overflow, as well as wiper fluid fill neck first, but everything came apart and went back OK. Ran it thru the gea...

2002 v70 2.4 turbo with TCM issue
Hi, I've had recurring issues with a P0715 code that point to a failing TCM. While that may or may not be the real issue, it seems to be pretty straightforward to get a compatible TCM and swap it out. But I've seen references to a tool that is necessary to remove the TCM. I'm not sure if that applie...
