It starts fine, then stalls out almost immediately after trying to start it a couple more times starts up fine and runs fine. Fuel filter is my thought any body else?

Theres a rubber mount and the metal part that connects it to the sub-frame assembly, but they should ship together.

In your opinions/experiences are the P2 platform cars a lot more trouble than the older 850s and 70 series? Or are they just a diffrent beast altogether. I know the 70 series have their ghosts but are they worse in the 2001 and later versions?

Sorry about the lack of reply. Yeah I think the 70 series doesn't have that plastic disk. Either way when I can afford to order the parts for the PCV (~160USD) ill pull it apart and replace it. And take pictures so others can see the difference between the mechanical throttle and the ETC systems.

Went out and checked. No flame trap or anything resembling one. For whatever reason none of the diagrams or pictures match what mine looks like. They're close and will be helpful when I do the PCV, but somethings are not matching up and confusing me a bit. So for simplicities sake I'm just going to ...

Does anybody have a good picture of where the flame trap is on the 99 non turbo engine? All the pictures i can find are for 850's and 98 S/V 70's.

Cant be a stuck PTC it theres no turbo in there can there?

The front engine mount I recall being pretty tore up when i did the sub frame so that might be the likely culprit. The dipstick is blowing smoke too which is indicating that the pcv system does indeed have a clog. So by that logic if I clear the pcv then no oil goes into the engine then there's no b...

Not a leak to be found. I had it up on a lift for about 2.5 hours a couple days ago replacing the front right control arm and sub frame and I didn't find any leaks then either. But when I open up the oil cap, its smoking :/

Going out to check for loose problems. I just found more bad. The valves are now clearly ticking and the clunking is constant. In addition to that the engine has some how sucked up at least a quart of oil in about 2 weeksand is clearly burning oil. Is it fixable or is it on the way out?
