Re: Use proper English, please
Something i've found is that humour very rarely "travels" - living near to 2 well known US Air Force bases in the UK and as such having met quite a few Americans, i can honestly say that for the most part they don't really get our humour and we don't get theirs - obviously there are excep...

Re: Use proper English, please
Dirk - fora is one of the strange quirks of the English language we Brits have to live with. As far as i'm aware, American English uses forums as the plural of forum (someone please correct me if that's wrong) so on a multi-national forum such as this, i would say that within reason anything goes as...

Re: Use proper English, please
I might have this wrong but i think the original post was aimed at people who were being deliberately lazy with punctuation etc, not people such as yourself where English isn't your first language. In the experience i've had on this and other fora, very often it's people such as you that write Engli...

What a perfect example!
As to your question Dan, haven't a clue but please read the rest of this thread about punctuation etc - might save you getting a "virtual tongue lashing" from some of the less tolerant members!

Re: SpeedoMeter stops working, Need some help..
What may interest you is that a symptom of a bad ignition switch is both ABS warning light and the speedometer not working. It is possible that if you have a bad switch, replacing it can solve both speedo and ABS problems. Jim Hmm, i'll bear that in mind Jim, thanks. In fairness (and with no diresp...

Re: SpeedoMeter stops working, Need some help..
Interesting about the ignition switch Jim - it had crossed my mind on mine (1989 740 GLE). Not sure what the arrangement is on later models but the speedo sensor (mounted on the diff) also doubles as the rear ABS sensor on mine (no separate sensors for each rear wheel - strange arrangement IMHO!) so...
