2010 S80 Remove C pillar
Does anyone know how to remove this black plastic strap on the C pillar on the drivers side? This is my first time uploading pictures so if anyone has tips on that please let me know.

Re: Electrical Problems following repair
With great shame I have to report that it was nothing more than the 5A fuse that is for the ECC. The garage told me they checked all the fuses and couldn't find anything. My fault for trusting them to that extent. The alarm siren module apparently is still an issue, but different from the ECC proble...

Re: Electrical Problems following repair
New development. Volvo couldn't get me in until this coming Monday so I've been searching for an answer. Yesterday a message showed up saying "Alarm System Maintenance Required". I read a lot of posts on that issue and it can cause a lot of problems. That will be today's adventure. I'll po...

Re: Electrical Problems following repair
Jimmy 57 - I tried locking and unlocking using the remote several times. Nothing changed. Strange thing is, the bluetooth function works. At first the radio display is blank, just a tiny phone symbol in the top left corner. After talking on the phone for a while the display shows the name of my cell...

2010 S80 lectrical Problems following repair, blown fuse
2010 S80 T6 3.0L AWD HELP Engine overheated. Pulled into parking lot and shut engine off. Garage (not Volvo dealer) replaced belt tensioner, idler pulley and serpentine belt. Now no radio, blower does not work, auto window function does not work, no seat belt chime, no rear window defrost, no way to...

Re: 2006 V70XC Timing Belt Change, sticker?
Thanks everyone for replying. I guess it is covered by the repair being recorded at the Volvo dealer. When I first went there to inquire they told me a sticker should have been applied had it been replaced. That's why I was expecting to see that happen. I guess I was just feeling vulnerable this mor...

2006 V70XC Timing Belt Change, sticker?
Just went from 1998 V70 to 2006 V70. On the 98 we lost the engine due to tensioner failing. The 2006 had no record of timing belt change. We decided on this car we wouldn't take a chance and we went to Volvo dealer and got new belt and tensioner, I hope. What's bothering me is they didn't put a stic...

Re: '98 S70, rear defroster switch blows light switch fuse, and all lights go dead
The fuse blew again after my last post. I got a used headlight switch from the Volvo wreckers here in Toronto. That was about a month ago and so far the fuse has not blown. Might be too soon to be sure but apparently something can break inside the switch causing a short. I'll post again in about a m...

Re: '98 S70, rear defroster switch blows light switch fuse, and all lights go dead
Glad someone has luck in the lottery. I have used the rear defrost a couple times for extended period and it did not blow the headlight switch fuse. So it will remain a mystery for now. I guess it's possible, although seemingly unlikely, that the fuses, all being old, were just ready to blow. The he...

Re: '98 S70, rear defroster switch blows light switch fuse, and all lights go dead
Thanks for the responses guys. Utility, sorry to hear about the theft and the setback. Abscate, I'm going to test the rear defrost again. It's been over a week now since the fuse blew and I haven't used the rear defrost at all so I could see if that might be the problem. It still seems odd since the...
