I'm just saying why not do it all while at it?June wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 13:50Stickers can come off, receipts get lost, but a electronic record is permanent. My car has no sticker so are you implying somehow the work wasn't done since the mechanic didn't stick a sticker?Rattnalle wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 13:18Since the sticker is delivered in the box I don't really see the online record as a reason not to install the sticker as well. It's not much different from before when you had both the reciept and the sticker.June wrote: ↑02 Jan 2018, 13:00
Back in march of 16 my S80 had it's belt, wheels, seals, and water pump at my Volvo dealer. No sticker was placed as the dealer reports all repairs which can be seen online souch as through carfax. In fact every ticket on your car at the dealer is viewable down to a lightbulb.
We just bought a used C70 for our daughter and i saw the car's complete history printed off of carfax which showed the dealer had just changed the timing belt +++ as well as every oil change. The stickers would definitely be useful afterdealer installation not electronically reported. June
I read someone imply the OP should open the cover to see. Work performed by a Volvo service department is guaranteed, reported online, as well as the OP has the receipt to prove the work complete. Who buys a modern used car and does not look at carfax? June
Oh its $1,000,00 without water pump and $1,500.00 with water pump service at Volvo.
Wow. $1500 for what took me as an amateur 4 hours the first time and ~$200 in parts (timing and accessory belt). Volvo in Sweden charge 6-800 in most places including our 25 % sales tax.
