2004 V70 What kind of engine
Hello, selling my damaged v70 and getting questions about the engine. it is a 2004 T5 manual and I always assumed it developed 250hp and that meant it had to be the high pressure turbo. Don`t want to mislead people and rather give them the correct info from the get go. Can someone tell me how I can ...

Re: 2008+ XC70 Which one
Right now not towing anything besides the occasional trailer from homedepot but since we are looking into an xc90 or a xc70 we were wondering if a small camper trailer would be feasible. Not talking these huge house on wheels but something more then a tent trailer. wont reallly be a dealbreaker, jus...

2008+ XC70 Which one
Hello all, haven`t been on the site in a while but now that my trusted manual 2004 v70 t5 had a close encounter with the rear bumper of a tractor trailer combination I am in the market for a new (used) Volvo. More specifically we are looking at a XC70, starting in 2008 but preferably 2009. Could pro...

Re: S60 No Pedal after Changing pads & rotors
Excellent, changed my brake pads this weekend and had almost no brakes. Exactly as described in the post. Found post this morning, borrowed screwdriver and plyers over lunch and 10minutes later the clips were in correct position without even taking the wheels off. 5minute test drive later and everyt...

Re: How to change the fuel filter on a 2004 V70 (video)
Just did this on my 2004 V70. Got confident to do so after watching this video.
Went as advertised with one exception. A good one at that. I had a small, indeed bicycle type, release valve just in front of the filter. Made it even easier. No need to be in engine bay at all.
thanks

Re: Parking Brake Cable Problem 2004 V70 (e brake)
Update. I went and got a new expander at the dealership. When I looked how the two parts hooked together they just split apart so I took the old one and joined it back together, lubed it a bit and reinstalled it on the car. I`ll keep the new one since there is a 20% restocking fee. So e brake works ...

Re: Parking Brake Cable Problem 2004 V70 (e brake)
After searching a few hours more and going through countless fuzzy diagrams I think I found my problem. I need a new expander. So I'll refit the brakes, get the expander and then strip it again to install it.

Parking Brake Cable Problem 2004 V70 (e brake)
Good evening all, I started doing a brake job on my 2004 V70 T5 following the excellent thread posted here. One side done and finished but ran into a problem on the other side. The rotor was stuck on the parking brake shoe and when I finally got it off one of the Parking Brake Strut Spring got pulle...

Re: End Exhaust Hanger (not the middle one)
I had it welded.
Just a piece of roundbar bent and welded.
