Re: Power Steering bracket

OK, so no error - it's a complete unit - but I had no idea it was so big! Collected the part from the dealer and it's huge (picture attached) http://www.designedfurniture.co.uk/elec/v70e.jpg http://www.designedfurniture.co.uk/elec/v70f.jpg The second pic with the black line shows where mine has snap...

Re: Power Steering bracket

Hi, it's petrol/LPG - I think I may have made an error which I plan to check on this morning. I think the snapped plate is attached to the steering pump and this in turn connects to the lifting eye casting on one end and the engine block on the other - will come back.

Re: Power Steering bracket

The lifting eye is part of the bracket that has snapped, so the pump now moves freely left/right to and from the engine

Power Steering bracket

Had a bit of squealing from the aux belt - went to check the tensioner only to find the bracket had snapped... thought this would be easy to source and (foolishly) an easy fix.. here's me 2 days down the line and a car I can't/won't drive. Even when I talk to the dealer.... it's clear they have no i...

Got her to school OK and on arrival, turned the engine off and immediately restarted - no message. Was at the school for...

Re: 2000 V70 No cruise after engine change

Hi, thanks to everyone - the hissing has gone away. I pressed the brake down as far as it would go, released and all seems good. Cruise still working :-) The car had been stood for a while before I bought it (hence the engine change) so it might have just needed a bit of use to get it to all pull to...

Re: 2000 V70 No cruise after engine change

Hi Lee, nothing on the display when it wasn't working but it's there now and I've been out and tested it from 30-80 mph - accelerated and resumed previous setting, braked and resumed - switch off and on whilst moving and when stationary - who knows!

Re: 2000 V70 No cruise after engine change

Re: 2000 V70 No cruise after engine change

Hi, used the original ETM as nothing came with the engine except ..er... the engine I've the VOL-FCR on a laptop but can't get it to 'talk' to the V70 through the OBD connector(again no issue with doing this on the 850) I don't know the age of the engine, only that it was a straight like for like sw...
