I did not actually measure the resistance of the airbag just the leads and the pigtail that was removed from the airbag.
I would not recommend putting an ohm meter on an airbag. Sorry if anyone thought that I did that.
Thanks

Re: 99 c70 passenger airbag problem
I wanted to give an update on this issue. I have fixed the problem so that the light does not come on but I do not like the approach that i had to take. Sorry for being long winded. I traced the wiring for the airbag back to the airbag module under the console. I used an ohm meter to check the wires...

99 c70 passenger airbag problem
I am having issues with the airbag light coming on for the passenger airbag. I have forgotten the code but it says that there is an open circuit. I have checked the wires and they are good all the way back to the SRS module. I have replaced the airbag with two others and still get the error. I have ...

Re: 2007 C70 timing belt tensioner
Okay, I went ahead and looked a little harder at this item. The tech was correct. There is no adjustment other than the spring tension. I was just confused because of the old style that required specific adjustment.

Re: 2007 C70 timing belt tensioner
While I was picking up parts at my Volvo dealer I asked a tech about this and he gave me an answer but he seemed uncertain. He said that you just bolt it in place and remove the pin. The spring should do the tensioning. This seems to make sense however I would really like to have some tell me for ce...

2007 C70 timing belt tensioner
Can anyone give me direction on adjusting the tensioner shown below? I have done the mechanical tensioners but this one is different. The Vida instructions are miserable on this topic. It only says to reverse the removal steps. I have it installed and I have pulled the pin but I do not know how to o...

Re: C70 surging / pulsing under load
Well, I can't explain why it worked but I can definitely say that the new MAF fixed the problem. I drove the car for one day with the MAF disconnected and everything was good but it was in limp mode. I then hooked up a different MAF sensor and it continued to operate without any issue. The first MAF...

Re: C70 surging / pulsing under load
Thanks for the detailed info. I agree that it is probably the ETM. I was hoping to avoid that expense. FYI I disconnected the MAF and everything ran great. I know that this puts the car in limp mode but i do not know if that would make changes that would keep the ETM from pulsing. I will try an old ...

Re: C70 surging / pulsing under load
I will try disconnecting the MAF today and see if it makes a difference.
If you look closely at the graph you will see that the pulses start with the MAF (or O2 sensor). I agree with you that it is probably the ETM but it is odd that everything seems fine right up to this moment.
