Re: 2001 S80 T6 HVAC fan slow when on auto
Checked VIDA, no HVAC related codes. Right now it's just ABS and the driver seat airbag codes that I already knew about.

2001 S80 T6 HVAC fan slow when on auto
Hi - I've noticed that both on hot days and cold days the HVAC system's AUTO mode doesn't ever crank the fan. It can be 90+ degrees F outside and it'll only give me about 70% or so. It's just recently turned cold and it's the same thing, the fan just seems lazy on auto. I can adjust the fan speed ma...

Re: '96 850R Very low mpg, very low power.
Final update - Selling the car (whole, hopefully, anyone in the Bay Area interested? haha). It developed a coolant leak the other day and the temp gauge started creeping. Never got into the red, but by the time I got it home it died. Just went out today and checked the plugs, coolant on 3 of them (c...

Re: ECU reset procedure, how to confirm reset
So after 2 days with the spare ECU, the trims are... odd. Running condition is basically the same (woefully underpowered, can't rev past 4kish, died after warming it up this afternoon) but the fuel trims look normal. LT is less than 1%. No codes, via generic OBD or an LED hack circuit. O2 sensor see...

Re: ECU reset procedure, how to confirm reset
Did the 30 mins with the battery cables tied together, can't tell if it worked. LTFT was the same, so it definitely didn't seem to reset that. I pull that and put the spare ECU in, that definitely changed the trims at least (duh).

Re: ECU reset procedure, how to confirm reset
Yes, obviously after they've been disconnected. I'm fairly certain that's what he meant, the battery cables. I think I've seen that mentioned someplace else before.

ECU reset procedure, how to confirm reset
Hi, I tried to reset my computer over the weekend, but I don't think it worked. I had the battery negative cable off for 3-4 hours while I was checking and re-checking somethings. Before I hooked it back up, I got in the car and applied the brakes a few times and moved the key to starting position a...

Re: '96 850R - Where does the computer get its boost reading
Ok - The boost reading I was looking at was calc'd not by the car's computer, but by the app I was using. Once I fixed my car parameters, it looks more in line. Overall vacuum is low - about -10 at idle. I replaced the airbox to turbo inlet plastic hose as suggested (I already had the replacement on...

Re: '96 850R - Where does the computer get its boost reading
Thanks for the reinforcement on boost readings - I haven't hooked a vac gauge up yet, doing so in the morning. I do not get black smoke. Plugs are pretty dark, pic below. Also, here's a new log from this morning w/ timing. No full throttle runs though. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ai...
