I have a 01 S80 that I brought this year for my son with about 197k. I dont know when the last time the transmission oil was changed. No current issues. Is ok to change/flush or not. I got advise from deal to no do the change based on high mileage. Please help.

I tried to this fix last night. Unsucessful. I am wondering how to you remove the soundproof panel. I assume this is the only way to get to the 4 screws that will allow the steering column to pulled out in order to replace the tilt lever.

Any ideas. Trying to avoid paying dealership.

I have a 01 S80 w/189 K miles. I have always had maintenance done at dealership. I am growing weary of dealership repair prices. Can anyone provide advise on good or bad experiences with Independent repair shops
