00 S70 GLT SE engine mount removal issue
Hi folks! I'm trying to get my car back in shape and I'm at the engine mount portion of the journey. I know that the passenger side lower mount has failed and when I went to remove it, I found that the rear bolt has been sheared off at the head. Since this is the one that goes into the block, how wo...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)
Not today, but over the last two weekends, I replaced the majority of the front suspension with the exception of the sway bar. Front and rear brakes and rear shocks and mounts. For financial and time reasons, I went with the Gabriel ReadyMounts. I know, I know. But the price and ease of execution lu...

Re: inner tie rod removal
I just did mine last week and a medium sized pipe wrench on the inner tie rod collar(?) did the trick. Lots of pb blaster and brute strength to get it undone and there's not much room under there, especially you're on jackstands instead of a lift, but it does come out eventually. Hope that helps.

2000 S70 glovebox door latch
Hello all. This is my second 70 and the second time the glovebox door latch stopped holding the door closed. The first one I was able to lock with the key, but on my "new" one, I don't have the right key to lock it so it flops open. Is there a way to fix the latch, or should I just buy a n...

Re: Android Torque app for OBD2 volvos
Pull a hose off of your vacuum tree temporarily. That should throw enough of a code for the app to read.

00 S70 OBDII plug relocation
Hey folks, anyone have any tips on relocating my OBDII port? I'd like to keep my elm adapter plugged in and obviously that props the armrest up. I'm not real keen on pulling the entire center console as its probably pretty brittle at the tabs. Thanks.

Re: Fuel trims
Mine threw no code at all, but that may be because the sensor was actually working, just the fuel/air mix was off.

Re: Fuel trims
What controls fuel trim, other than Coolant Temp Sensor? I suspect MAF? Any thoughts?
O2 sensors also control fuel trim, from what I've read, especially the rear. When I replaced my cat with an aftermarket, my fuel trim was way off. I installed a spacer to get the sensor...
