Thanks for the replies... The cvvt is leaking as I took it off to see if i could clean it up and get it to operate again.....what a mistake!!! Now, the darn thing is leaking oil. I have a gasket making kit and want to know if i can use it temporarily until i get the new solenoid and gasket ???

help!!!!! noticed today that there was oil leaking from my Volvo V70....I have a P1332 error code and the CVVT solenoid was super hot. The timing belt has oil on it now too....
I have to replace the CVVT solenoid.....what about the gasket for the solenoid?

error code is a P1332...
also code reader also says it will not pass the emissions test....good thing they are valid for a year

going to pull out the cvvt solenoid and give it a cleaning....

Picked up a v70.....only problem is that it didn't come with an owners manual. Does anyone know where a printable version can be found or send me a copy of one???

I had my check engine light come on, and after a bunch of online research, i picked up a code reader. It said the fault code was the cvvt solenoid. I plan on locating one this coming week and replacing it, i would presume at the dealer.... Am i getting into trouble by not replacing it immediately?? ...

thanks for the response. disconnected the negative battery connector for 10 minutes. came back, reinstalled and voila...light is off. Looking into a code reader as i type....so far, loving the ride.

Driving down the road when suddenly my check engine light came up. Just bought the car and it wasd safetied, certified and e tested..... any ideas as to why the light would come on?

Its a no go....they keep giving me the original code for the factory item using my vehicle vin and not the stereo serial number...help me please. I am living in silence....

Just purchased a 2000 XC70 and the stereo wont work. Tried the code that they gave me for the vin....no go. Its a factory refurb serial number VO8170 V3049264. ANyone know the code for this???
BTW...2000 SC-816 code could be 3653 for those who are hunting as well...
