Re: 2002 S60 2.5T P0017 after timing belt change
It was the crank that was off somehow. I took the belt off and just manually lined up the 2 cam sprockets and the crank. Its been like 2 days and now errors or pending errors. thanks everyone!

i'm sure it has to do with me doing the timing belt. I should have marked the belt before taking it off, I just went with the factory marks.

2002 S60 2.5T P0017 after timing belt change
So I changed the timing belt on the S60 this weekend. And got the p0017 crankshaft position sensor error. I took things back apart and double checked all the marks, they are all exactly lined up. Motor runs fine. I even tried to move the VVT came back a tooth as I have seen people say this resolves ...

Re: 2002 S60 2.4T Strange p0600 and VIDA errors
Just replaced the VR, the initital error is gone and the car is charging at 14.0V. Still getting the weird VIDA error, but will clear the errors and kinda just watch that.

Re: 2002 S60 2.4T Strange p0600 and VIDA errors
Part coming in today, it looks like from a post I found on here I can change the regulator in place without having to pull the alternator.

Re: 2002 S60 2.4T Strange p0600 and VIDA errors
If it wasn't a Bosch regulator then even more reason for possible issues. A junkyard one for $30 or just an online Bosch regulator seller would be ok. rhe windings and diodes shouod be fine. I ordered the rebuilt Bosch made in Mexico for a 2002 XC70 from FCP afew years ago and it was fine. went ahe...

Re: 2002 S60 2.4T Strange p0600 and VIDA errors
I added some more to my post above please re- read I didn't drop the entire subframe, just the Driver front corner. the others I loosened. Sorry should have clarified. The Rostra solenoids have worked like a champ though! I wonder if the alternator could be causing my CANBUS issues as well? And I m...

Re: 2002 S60 2.4T Strange p0600 and VIDA errors
Sigh. That's what I was afraid of. Issue is I already sent my core in. Could I just buy a Bosch regulator to put on it?
