2005 XC90 V8 DEM comm issue
Have a 2005 XC90 V8 throwing a DEM no communication issue. Was working fine, then sat for 3 months, now throwing the traction system issue message and the DEM no comms code. Checked the fuses at the REM, 12V on all, no blown fuses. Have power and ground at the DEM. Putting 12V and ground on the AOC ...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
When I first started working on cracking my 2005 XC90 I would see all the zeros if I tried cracking with the key in position 2. If I left the key in position 1, or not use the key at all, it would crack the PIN just fine

Re: Vida CEM swapping
I fixed it, the issue was..my program was not being fully uploaded because of a bug in the code.
Afterwards the code works. Next I encountered an issue with transmission quality, I would get a CAN error frame, but it wasn't the ECU's fault, somehow my SPI1.0 CAN device was breaking the frames ...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Okay. I think I will still give the Teensy an auxiliary 5v power just to make sure it's sufficiently powered up though.
Yeah the schematic says to connect one of the CAN boards to CAN HS+ and HS- and the other to LS+ and LS-, OBD Pins 6,14,3, and 11 respectively. Plus the CAN Gnd on Pin 5 to the ...

Re: Vida CEM swapping
If you dig a bit, there was also a link to PCB files. You can send those to SEEEDSTUDIO and for under 10 bucks have 10 boards made, then just pop the components on yourself. I did that with a 12v to 5v buck converter and a teensy 4.1 and it took under 20 minutes to crack the PIN for my 05 XC90

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Curious and following. Also, if you have timing issues with the pi, you will have to set GPU and SOC speeds in the config.txt. Some of the GPIO timing is affected by both. Pi4 is the most blatant "offender".

Re: Vida CEM swapping
I was foolish! Feel free to mock me. I have some experience soldering audio equipment, LED's, simpler things. This was much harder, and I rushed it.
The short story: I tried to hook up an Arduino Nano to my CEM to run T5Luke's CEM reader. It didn't seem to work - I let the program run for ...

Re: 2005 XC90 V8 oil cooler
I would say do it. I wouldn't consider it a rarity since Volvo did issue a bulletin on it. Check online for the cooler... I saw it as low as $260.00 whereas the local dealer wanted $370 for it.

No one cares. You are scamming the group. This isn't a forum to advertise in. It is a forum for people to create their own methods. Go peddle your crap elsewhereliyezhu wrote: 19 Oct 2022, 07:02 I solved the PIN code for the friend's two cars. You can ask him if I am a liar
