Re: Power steering issue. No power assist at idle.
I can check the belt, but that area was not touched. The reservoir hoses are not reversible. Thanks for the ideas though.

For sure, you'd think the pump, but the original rack was shot, you could tell when bench testing when you needed a big wrench to turn it. The new one you can spin with just your hand.

Yeah fluid is fine. Flushed 2 liters through it. Did lock to lock over 50 times.

Power steering issue. No power assist at idle.
I changed my rack and now there is no power steering at idle. Rev to 2k and it returns. It leads me to believe that there is something at play that allows/assists/adjusts power sterring at idle rpm. Like something (a valve) is either stuck open or closed preventing proper function only at idle when ...

I will repost over there too.
Yes, all good before rack. Rack was bad for sure though.

Its there to prevent blowing out lines or racks if you are just cranking on the steering wheel. Sort of like a wastegate setup. Does this exist in an 04 XC70 Base system? I changed my rack and ...

2005 2.5T FWD amperage of my alternator?
How do I determine the amperage of my alternator? I need to replace it and there is coming up
a 120, 140, and 160 amp.
Replacing because of bad bearing(s), makes a lot of noise.

Re: 2004 XC70 Interior Color ???
Thank you! I knew it was Oak, but when ordering a leather repair kit Oak is not listed. Taupe is listed, and is not accurate.
